Location
Doha – Al Khor corridor, Qatar
Client
Ashghal – Public Works Authority of Qatar
Employer

Project facts (public sources)

33 km corridor with 10 interchanges2×5 lanes 32.5 km expressway62 km 2×2 ramps and loops21 km 2×3-lane service roads33 km 7 m wide Olympic cycle trackQR 7.6 bn contract value (2016)
Corridor context. North of Doha the expressway runs alongside the elevated Doha Metro Red Line (North) through the Qatar University – Lusail area, so road, drainage and utility design required interface coordination with the metro alignment and Qatar Rail assets.

Project facts (public sources)

≈ 24.9 km 3rd-stage lines incl. ≈ 1 km depot link (2018 tender)Varsak – Müze T3 route2019 / 2021 sections opened
Urban context. The route runs largely along existing boulevards, with an underground station where it crosses the T1 line at Otogar (bus station), so track geometry was integrated with road junctions, kerb lines and pedestrian crossings.
